Finance Department

The Finance Department, which was formerly known as the Bursary Department, was set up concurrently with the establishment of Darul Ridzuan Islamic College in 1999. It began operations with only two members of staff.

The Finance Department is responsible for financial management as well as providing services to clients whether within or outside USAS. In order to expedite the flow of work as well as to improve the quality of service, the Finance Department has been structured into three divisions:

1. Finance, Asset and System Division

  • Accounts Unit
  • Budget Unit
  • Investment Unit
  • System Unit
  • Asset Unit

2. Payment, Procurement and Administration Division

  • Payment Unit
  • Procurement Unit
  • Administration Unit

3. Receivables, Student Finance and Credit/Debit Control Division

  • Receivables Unit
  • Student Finance Unit
  • Credit/Debit Control Unit

The main function of the Finance Department is to be responsible for the following aspects:

  1. Managing the financial allocation of USAS.
  2. Managing and controlling USAS expenditure efficiently and effectively.
  3. Managing USAS revenue collection.
  4. Managing matters related to assets and inventory owned by USAS.
  5. Managing matters related to procurement of services, work and supplies for USAS.
  6. Managing payment to suppliers, staff, students and other relevant parties.
  7. Managing matters related to the finances of USAS students.
  8. Managing, controlling and planning financial system growth towards more efficient and effective management.
