FEBRUARY 2020 – The World Conference on Islamic Thought and Civilization (WCIT 2020) had conducted an appreciation dinner in honour of the sponsors of the sixth WCIT event at Casuarina @Meru, here.

The WCIT 2020 event, which will be held from 9 to 11 March is organised by Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS) with the theme of Sharing Our Humanity has gained a total of 23 sponsors including the Perak State Government, Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP) Group, Perak Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council, Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd, Menteri Besar Incorporated, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad as well as Proton Edar Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile, the HRH Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, was pleased to attend the sponsors appreciation dinner and launched the sixth World Conference on Islamic Islamic Thought and Civilization (WCIT 2020).

 The arrival of his Majesty was accompanied by YAB Menteri Besar of Perak, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal bin Dato’ Azumu, USAS Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin, USAS Vice Chancellor, Tan Sri Dr Nordin Kardi, the State Secretary, Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abd. Rahim and the state exco line-up.

The conference aims to look for pragmatic and practical solutions to the existing socioeconomic, sociopolitical, socioreligious and sociocultural issues.

During the dinner, the YAB Menteri Besar of Perak, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal bin Dato’ Azumu did hope that the WCIT 2020 event can come up with the solutions and action to uphold the idea of Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin throughout the world.
