Programme Background

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours) is a 4-year study programme, designed specifically to equip students with knowledge, skills and experience via integrated education in landscape architecture, with added values in management, entrepreneurship and self-development. Each course available in the programme is in accordance with the standards set by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM).

Entry Requirements

1. Acquire Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with a pass in Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mathematics; AND
2. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Pengajian Am. (Note: Requirement Grade C (CGPA) 2.00 in Pengajian Am at the STPM level for candidates that pass the required qualification can be exempted if they take special exam for Pengajian Malaysia which will be handled by the faculty.)
3. Passed Matriculation / Foundation that is appropriate and recognized with CGPA 2.0; ORPassed Diploma (Level 4, KKM) recognized by Malaysia Government or equivalent with CGPA minimum 2.50; OR(Note: Candidates that obtain CGPA between 2.00 and 2.50 can be accepted of to the internal evaluation process that is pass in interview/ drawing test or portfolio evaluation)
4. Passed Diploma Vocasional Malaysia (DVM) with: • Credit in Bahasa Melayu 1104• Academic CGPA at least 2.00;• Vocasional CGPA with at least 2.67; and all Competent Vocasional module; OR
5. *Passed DKM/DLKM/DVM in related field OR
6. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia

Note: Equivalence SVM with 3 credits in SPM and also passed in History SPM.

Career Prospects

Upon completing the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours) degree programme, graduates have several options:-

1. Join the workforce either in the private or government sector and they are qualified to be in the profession as landscape architects, site supervisors, landscape consultants at the Local Government Office, landscape marketing officer, design contractor and landscape maintenance officer.
2. Proceed with professional certificate such as Landscape Architect (LAr).
