Programme Background

The Bachelor of Dakwah with Communication (Honours) degree is designed to produce graduates who have skills in the field of religion and at the same time have communication skills in an effort to use the skills of religion as well as communication in a balanced way and to contribute to religion, nation and country.

Today’s industrial climate requires human capital that has the characteristics of’multi-tasking’ that is capable of performing various tasks and capable of mastering various fields. Although this program is directed towards the fields of prophecy and communication, it also produces graduates who master several fields such as akidah, tafsir, hadith, al-Quran and Tajwid, fiqh as well as relevant knowledge for professional preaching positions. Thus, graduates from the USAS are expected to meet the needs of the country’s labour force, whether in the public or private service.

The variety of courses offered in this program, as well as the teaching staff who master these areas can produce graduates as desired. In addition, with the knowledge they possess, graduates can also devote themselves to the local community in the field of education and Islamic sciences. Graduates who master such fields are also needed in the community for social activities. It is expected that graduates from the US will be able to meet the current needs and can stand shoulder-shaking energy to develop local communities.

Entry Requirements

1. Pass STPM or equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two subjects including one related to Islamic Studies; or
2. pass STAM with minimum Maqbul grades; or
3. pass Diploma (Level 4 MQF) or the equivalent in Islamic Study with minimum PNGK 2.00; or
4. pass Matriculation / Foundation / Foundation of Islamic studies or that is equivalent to a minimum pNGK 2.0; or
5. pass DKM / DLKM / DVM in related fields
6. other qualifications recognized by the Kingdom of Malaysia.
