Programme Background

The main aim of the programme is to produce graduates with extensive knowledge in management as well as mastering the skills and methodological techniques on management issues in both profit and non- profit organisations. This programme offers mixed mode as well as coursework. Full-time programme is within 1 year while part-time is within 1 years 8 months. Classes are held once a month on weekends. The language used as medium in this programme is English.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements (Master by Coursework)

1. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as approved by the PPT Senate; OR
2. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but not reaching 2.50 may be considered for admission subject to a thorough internal assessment; OR
3. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as approved by the PPT Senate and relevant work experience, may be accepted subject to a thorough internal assessment; OR
4. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as approved by the PPT Senate and without relevant work experience may be accepted, subject to completing prerequisite courses.
5. English Language Competency Requirements for International Students: Minimum score of MUET Band 4 or equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2)”

Entry Requirements (Master by Mixed-Mode)

1. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as approved by the PPT Senate; OR
2. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but not reaching 2.75 may be accepted, subject to a thorough internal assessment; OR
3. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but not reaching 2.50 may be accepted, subject to 5 years of relevant work experience and a thorough internal assessment; OR
4. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as approved by the PPT Senate may be accepted, subject to relevant work experience and a thorough internal assessment; OR
5. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but not reaching 2.50 as approved by the PPT Senate may be accepted, subject to 5 years of relevant work experience and a thorough internal assessment; OR
6. Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent in a non-related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as approved by the PPT Senate and without relevant work experience may be accepted, subject to completing prerequisite courses.

Career Prospects 

Graduates from this programme can look forwards to successful careers in middle and senior management across a range of organisations. Students may also wish to pursue PhD research following graduation.

Careers in management can be found across the private, public and voluntary sectors, with opportunities to branch out into areas of management, marketing and sales as well as technology. Graduates also can be as Academician such as teachers and lecturers in the field of management.
