Programme Background
Diploma in Islamic Jurisprudence is one of the programmes offered by the Shariah Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies at USAS with conventional delivery. Using Arabic and Malay as the medium, it is an added value to the university, especially in gearing it towards the international level. The programme aims to produce knowledgeable and skilled graduates in Islamic studies who specialise in Shariah with good personalities at the same time, as an effort to leverage the knowledge in this world and the Hereafter. Among the university’s objectives in offering this programme are:-
- To produce graduates who are believers, fearful, well-versed in Islamic knowledge and capable of practising it.
- To produce honorable graduates who are skillful in communication, can cooperate well and have their own principles.
- To produce graduates who are critical in solving community problems and capable of making informed decisions based on Islamic principles.
- To produce graduates who are able to venture into entrepreneurship, science and technology based on faith in Allah.
