Programme Background
Diploma in Accounting is specifically designed to equip students with knowledge, skills and experience through integrated education in accounting as well as added values in management, entrepreneurship, self-development and information technology. The programme curriculum integrates Islamic accounting, ethics and professionalism as well as information technology elements. Students will study the sub-areas in accounting such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, accounting information systems and computerised accounting. Students are also exposed to problem solving and decision-making in the current business environment situations and meet the needs of the accounting industry. The curriculum developed in this programme is in accordance with the standards set by the Malaysian accounting professional body, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
