Programme Background

The main aim of the programme is to produce graduates with extensive knowledge in Islamic finance as well as mastering the skills and methodological techniques on issues in Islamic finance. This programme offers fully coursework mode either full-time or part-time. Full-time programme is within 1 year 6 months while part-time is within 2 years 6 months. Classes are held once a month on weekends.

Entry Requirements

• A recognised bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Muamalat and Islamic Finance or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 out 4.00
  • “If candidates without a Muamalat and Islamic Finance Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) are admitted, prerequisite modules in Muamalat, Islamic Economics, Islamic Finance or Muamalat Administration must be taken to adequately prepare them for their advanced studies”.
• Candidates with a recognised Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in MIF or related fields, who has not achieved CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field.

Career Prospects

1. Eligible to pursue Doctor of Philosophy in Shariah or Islamic finance.
2. Join the workforce in conventional or Islamic banking and finance.
3. Being academician such as teachers and lecturers in Islamic finance.
