Corporate Management & Strategic Planning Department

The Corporate Management and Strategic Planning Department acts as an intermediary between USAS and the public so that the university becomes known and respected by all levels of society. This department is also responsible for promoting the university as well as ensuring that the university provides the best service to the public.

The Corporate Management and Strategic Planning Department is structured into four units:

  • Public and Media Relations Unit
  • International Relations Unit
  • Strategic Planning Unit
  • Marketing Unit

  • To provide the best service in all pertaining matters.
  • To provide good and well-equipped administrative facilities.
  • To provide excellent services to the clients of USAS.
  • To establish USAS as a renowned and respected institution.

Mission

Determined in improving the quality of services as well as to constantly strive to enhance the image of USAS and the department, in addition to governing efficiently and optimising customer satisfaction. As well as to always be prepared to accept changes in improving services.

Key Functions

  • To become an intermediary between USAS and the public; locally and abroad.
  • To plan and coordinate materials for TV/radio programmes/print media.
  • To plan and implement promotional programmes locally and abroad throughout the year.
  • To distribute pamphlets and printed materials on USAS and the programmes offered by the university.
  • To be responsible for the university’s official activities involving protocols.
  • To manage meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • To perform any other functions and to take any action as may be required in the proper discharge of duties under stipulated enactments, acts, statutes, rules and regulations.

  • To provide excellent services to USAS clients.
  • To establish USAS as a renowned and respected institution.

Client Charter

  • To provide quick and friendly services.
  • To process the application for loan of promotional equipment(s) within one working day.
  • To ensure that the number of student enrolment increases at a minimum of 10% per year.
  • To provide feedback to client enquiries through letter/e-mail/fax/telephone at the latest within three working days.
