Programme Background

Bachelor of Agricultural Industry (Honours) is designated to produce graduates that possessed hands-on knowledge and skills in agriculture through theory and field practice. Students will be engaged in theory-based and practical-based courses for 4 years in Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS).

Students are equipped with long-life learning elements for prestige and continuous career development as aligned with vision and missions of the university.

Entry Requirements

Local Student

Local Students need to fulfil the requirement of the UNIVERSITY in the following: –

1. Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ equivalent; AND
2. Passed in Bahasa Malaysia at the SPM level/equivalent; AND
3. Fulfil ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS: –
   • Passed Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Pengajian Am; AND obtain Grade C (in one of the subjects) (CGPA 2.00); OR
   • Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Jayyid; OR
   • Passed Matriculation/ Foundation from any IPTA/IPTS/ Institution with at least CGPA 2.0; OR
   • Passed Diploma in related field and obtain CGPA 2.00 and candidate need to present the Study Academic Transcript; OR
   • Passed Diploma Vocational Malaysia (DVM) with at least 2.00 for academic transcript and 2.67 for vocational transcript.
   • Passed Kemahiran Diploma Malaysia DKM (level 4), Advanced Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (level 5) with 3.00; OR
   • Other equivalent qualifications recognized by USAS Senate; AND
   • Obtain Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) before graduating.
4. Candidates for DVM and DKM need to obtain Credits in Bahasa Melayu and History before graduating.
5. Candidates with Jayyid at the STAM level, CGPA 2.00 and 2.5 at the STPM level or Matriculation/ Foundation, CGPA 2.0 and CGPA 2.5 at the Diploma level will be given the PRIORITY if have the following combination of the courses at the SPM level: -Obtain PASSED for any 2 subjects’ combinations: –
   • Bahasa Melayu
   • Mathematics
   • Science
   • English

International Student

International Student need to fulfil the requirement: –

1. Obtain passed that equivalent with STPM/STAM recognized by Malaysia Government with CGPA 2.5 or Jayyid; OR
2. Passed Diploma with the recognized programme by Malaysia Government with CGPA 2.5; AND
3. Passed in Bahasa Melayu/ English.
4. Exemption will be given to candidate that have one of the requirements: –
   • TOEFL score 450 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT)
   • Band 5 above for IELTS
   • C6 above for General Certificate of Secondary Education (O Level), University of Cambridge for Bahasa Melayu or English
   • Passed General Certificate of Education (A-Level), University of Cambridge for Bahasa Melayu or English
5. Obtain other recognized qualification with Diploma that certified by USAS Senate and recognized by Malaysia Government OR
6. Passed in Special Interview determined by USAS Senate from time to time
