Programme Background

This program focuses more on the knowledge of usul and fiqh that covers the field of Sharia, among which it involves the knowledge of Usul such as Usul Fiqh, Qawaid Fiqh and Maqasid Fiqhiyyah. Meanwhile, the aspect of Fiqh involves Fiqh Ibadat, Fiqh Muamalat, Ahwal al-Syakhsiyyah and Fiqh Jinayat. In addition, this program emphasizes courses in the form of ‘Applied Shariah’ to meet current needs.

Entry Requirements

1. Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) or equivalent by getting at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) subjects including Islamic Studies; or
2. Pass A-Level or equivalent with at least a pass in two (2) subjects including Islamic Studies; or
3. Pass the Matriculation Program/ Foundation Program in the field of Islamic Studies from any Higher Education Provider (PPT) recognized by the Malaysian Government with a minimum GPA of 2.00; or
4. Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with an overall Maqbul grade or equivalent; or
5. Pass Diploma in Islamic Studies (Level 4 KKM) or equivalent from a PPT recognized by the Malaysian Government with a CGPA of 2.00; or
6. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government.

* Pass DKM/DLKM/DVM in the relevant field (PPT is required to carry out screening and strengthening programs that are appropriate to the program field)
