Former HRH the late Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah officiated the Darul Ridzuan Islamic College (KISDAR) temporary campus at Jalan Dato Seri Shaari Off Jalan Raja Dihilir, Ipoh.

Establishment of KISDAR under the Enactment No.3 Year 2000, the Perak Darul Ridzuan State Government Enactment was tabled and approved by the Perak State Assembly.

HRH the late Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah granted the establishment of KISDAR under the Enactment. No 3 Year 2000, Perak Darul Ridzuan State Government Enactment.

8th February 2006
The Perak State Government approved the construction of KISDAR’s permanent campus on a 50-acre land in Bukit Chandan, Kuala Kangsar, a waqf from the then Acting Sultan of Perak, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah.

2nd June 2008
The construction of KISDAR’s permanent campus was fully completed at a cost of RM66 million.

16th July 2009
HRH the Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah officiated the KISDAR permanent campus in Bukit Chandan.

4th March 2013
KISDAR was upgraded to the Sultan Azlan Shah Islamic University College (KUISAS) under the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996 (Act 555).

The Prime Minister of Malaysia announced KUISAS as a full-fledged University with immediate effect.

15th June 2016
Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS) was formally established and registered as an IPTS.
